The Tactile Experience

This is a lofted textile. By weaving three distinct layers of fine yarn together, we have created microscopic air pockets within the fabric. This gives The Vellum Scroll a unique, cushioned weight—it feels substantial and protective, perfect for the British winter, yet the pure cotton remains matte and breathable against the skin. It possesses a tactile complexity and a "powdery" softness that flat-printed linens simply cannot replicate.

The Surface Design

The character of this piece lies in its sculptural topography. Through a refined three-layer yarn jacquard technique, the damask motif is physically "sculpted" into the fabric as it is woven. This creates a soft, relief-like landscape—a "ghosted" botanical scroll that catches the light differently as the day moves across the bed. The sun-mellowed finish blurs the edges of the pattern, giving it a vintage, weathered appearance that feels both ancient and effortless.

Care for Your Bed Linen

To preserve the sculpted relief and the lofted softness of the triple-weave:

• The First Wash: Skip the detergent. Rinse in cool water with a handful of salt to lock the tension of the jacquard layers and set the Cream and Pale Roast tones.

• Temperature: Strictly 30°C. High temperatures can cause the three distinct layers to shrink at different rates, distorting the sculptural damask motif.

• Cycle: Use a gentle or delicate machine setting.

• Drying: Air-dry only. Avoid the tumble dryer, which can flatten the "lofted" air pockets that give this set its signature, protective volume.
